FUTURE PROGRAM
With a focus on future generations and on preserving the environment, the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) journey at Volkswagen Truck and Bus has been christened Future Program. The initiative has the motto “connecting today with tomorrow,” and aims to consolidate the good practices already embraced by the company, in addition to expanding actions that promote sustainability and diversity in the medium and long terms. We want a future that’s clean, technological, fair, accessible, economically viable, and with better quality of life for everyone. This is a new path, with no stopovers and no way back, a tailor-made road to a sustainable tomorrow.
GLOBAL COMPACT AND SDG
Volkswagen Truck & Bus supports the UN Global Compact to enable a global sustainable movement among companies and stakeholders that will create the future we want. Its actions support the implementation of the Compact’s ten principles in human rights, work, environment, anti-corruption, as well as the SDG. Volkswagen Truck & Bus joined the Global Compact in March 2022. The following diagram shows the SDGs that are most aligned with the material aspects we currently prioritize in our strategy.
